DIY Holiday Wreath

My daughter and i worked on a holiday wreath pre-Ramadan for the front door. We had so much fun that i decided on making this with the kids in summer school as well. This is a super easy project which comes out beautifully!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 20 3″x3″ Double sided paper
  • 1 Thick cardboard
  • CD
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • String/rope/yarn/lanyard
  • Artificial flower- the ones i used were sticky on the backside

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

(1) Trace the CD onto the cardboard and cut the circle out.

(2) Take your choice of string and fold in half. The length folded should be how far down you want your wreath to hang. Once you fold it in half knot the two ends together and staple it to the cardboard.

(3) Since you need 20 3″x3″ double sided paper. I took 5 12″x12″ sheets and cut them into 4’s.

(4) Fold your paper into cones. Put some glue along the edge to keep shape. You will need 20 of these cones.

(6) Cut another small piece of cardboard and place in the center of the cones

(7) Start placing the cones for the inner round. I used 5 and placed the first cone in between 2 cones from the outer round. I skipped 2 spaces and placed the next in the third space. Continue for all 5.
